Father and Son

Nothing like holding your newborn son! In our experience, there is nothing more enlightening about how God loves us than having children. We could not love Alec more and I am sure he is starting to understand that love even now as he holds his son. We are full of joy! We are full of thanks!!

Good Things come to those who wait!!

The waiting is over!! Hudson is here. He decided to show up at 2:30 this afternoon, taking his good ole sweet time, and weighed in at just over 6 lbs. He looks great doesn't he? Maybe we won't be able to wait until March 24!!

What else is there to do at 3 AM???

I woke from an unsettled sleep to the sound of Deänne's phone buzzing. She was receiving a text from Alec saying that Emmalee was in labor and that they were at the hospital waiting for Hudson to make his entry. This morning Alec said that things were going "okay" but what does that mean and what does he know anyway?? So we are waiting. We don't do waiting well!

Hudson: Ready to make his appearance

You actually need to turn your computer upside down to get the real effect since he is head down in there! Pretty cute for being all squished up and safe inside his mother. He will make his appearance on or before Tuesday, March 11. We will first visit him on the 24th.

When Missionary Leaders Get Together

There is a lot of hugging. Every couple years all of our leadership from around the world meets to think through new directions. Many have not seen each other since the last conference. Hence, the hugging. My take...the Brazilians are the most fun...always laughing, singing and partying (in the Christian way!). The end note: there are more places and ways to get involved in cross-cultural life and ministry than ever before!! Pray about it!!!
